選手にはリラックスして、この試合に何がかかっているかは絶対に考えないようにと伝えるだろう。ただ試合のことだけを考えること。誰が優勝するのだろうと考え始めると、集中力を失ってしまう。
“You can practice shooting 8 hours a day, but if your technique is wrong, then all you become is very good at shooting the wrong way. Get the fundamentals down and the level of everything you do will rise.”
シュートを毎日8時間練習してもいい。でももしテクニックが間違っていれば、間違ったシュートの仕方が上達してしまう。基礎を身につければ君がやること全てのレベルが上がるよ。

試合には浮き沈みがある。でも決して自分の目標に対する集中力を無くしてはいけないし、努力が足りなかったからという理由で負けるわけにはいかないんだ。
